Brian Hillard works for the Sustainable Energy Fund, a non-profit dedicated to lowering Pennsylvania’s carbon footprint. He specializes in government relations. In addition to establishing the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program throughout the state, Hillard actively monitors energy policy and searches for new approaches to sustainable energy technologies and policies.

He has found fulfillment through his community work, especially with the EAC, which connects with his community on environmental issues, and with S.T.A.R., which serves the homeless and low-income at its resource center.
A lifelong Pennsylvania resident, Hillard was born in Philadelphia, gradually moving northward before settling in the Lehigh Valley. Married for nearly twenty years, his wife Carla is a third-grade Parkland School District teacher.
He also has two daughters: Annabelle, who recently graduated from the University of Delaware and is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator with Nemours Health Network, and Olivia, who is in tenth grade at Freedom High School and enjoys cheerleading and dance.
