If you'd like to employ a wage payroll employee, please complete the form below, which will prompt EME staff to send the prospective employee an email asking them to apply for the position online.
Penn State appointments conform to a variety of requirements, including legal eligibility for employment in the US (sometimes called the I-9 requirement) and a background check to verify that candidates have no criminal or other record that would preclude employment in the University’s judgement.
A successful background check is required before employment may commence, and it is essential that the background check process be completed prior to the start of work.
The prospective employee will be contacted by Penn State HR Shared Services to complete the information needed for the background check and schedule a time to complete all financial on-boarding paperwork.
Once all paperwork is complete, the prospective employee and the supervisor will receive an email from Penn State HR. This process could take up to one to two weeks to complete.
Please note that NO WORK SHOULD COMMENCE UNTIL THE PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE IS AUTHORIZED TO BEGIN THE APPOINTMENT. There are no exceptions.
