In the summer of 2022 we have been able to finally offer our first in-person year of the EME Summer Research Program for undergraduate students. With the exception of a small number of projects completed remotely, the majority of participants were able to conduct research in laboratory facilities at the University Park campus. With the help of donors and industry supporters, the department was able to sponsor 17 summer research experiences working with EME faculty members. Interns were chosen through an application process and matched with active research projects. The final component of the EME Summer Research Program is a poster and accompanying five-minute lightning talk by each student detailing their research experience, which are posted below.
We invite all EME community members and stakeholders to view the online presentations and browse the photos from their labs and campus tour.
