Why did you choose to attend Penn State? Are you glad that you did?
I attended Penn State for its great atmosphere and top-notch mining engineering program. Penn State allowed me to be involved in amazing extracurricular organizations, receive an engineering education from world-class professors, and network with the largest alumni network.
What was your favorite/best class at Penn State and why?
The best class I took was Energy Crisis Leadership. We studied separate case studies each week, ending with a forty-eight-hour crisis response simulation. This class put into practice my soft skills and the technical skills I learned throughout my four-year engineering curriculum.
How did Penn State help prepare you for your career so far?
Penn State gave me the skills to succeed as an engineer by providing an incredible education, exposing me to the mining industry through professional organizations, and teaching me how to create long-lasting relationships.
What is your favorite Penn State tradition?
THON is my favorite tradition, as it brings together the entire school and many other communities to support a great cause through a fully student-run philanthropy.
What’s the best thing about being a Penn Stater?
The best thing about being a Penn Stater is the ability to go anywhere in the country and run into fellow alumni.
What’s your favorite weekend activity?
My favorite weekend activity is skiing or golfing, depending on the season!
